Andrew Young reflects on the struggle for civil rights, beginning with the actions of President Lincoln, and how it continues even today. He was a friend and ally of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and participated in the civil rights demonstrations in Selma in 1965. In addition, he is also a former Ambassador to the United Nations, as well as a politician, civil rights activist, and pastor.
I have always found Ambassador Young to be incredibly articulate and well spoken. A true statesman.
I really enjoyed Ambassador Young's discussion. His insight and wisdom are incredible. Living in the Atlanta area, you see his name around the city, but it was not until this video that I felt like I got to know him. His relation with past struggles and his own struggles and everything he has helped change is truly inspiring. I believe this is a lesson we can all learn from. No matter how difficult the journey may seem, if you know you are doing the right thing, then you are always on the right path.
I enjoyed Ambassador Andrew Young's interview. He shared his views on President Abraham Lincoln. I agree President Lincoln had enormous courage and lead a major struggle of his time. He promoted equality for all mankind. Once we start believing in each other, we will overcome any obstacle. In Ambassador Young words " difficulty you can do right away. Impossible takes a little time".
